Are You Bothered By Excess Skin, Wrinkles, Or Dark Circles Below The Eyes?

Lower Lid Lift – Total Under-Eye Rejuvenation

A lower lid lift (lower blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure that’s designed to create a smooth transition from the lower eyelids to the cheeks. The procedure is highly customizable and able to address a variety of aesthetic concerns in a single session. Dr. Karolak routinely performs blepharoplasty procedures of all types and works with each patient individually to ensure a balanced, natural-looking appearance.

How Does a Lower Lid Lift Work?

As a Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Karolak uses the most advanced surgical techniques to produce a more youthful, rested look for his patients. Dr. Karolak often uses combined approaches that may include laser, fat transfer, volume reduction, or PRP treatments for enhanced results. Lower lid lift procedures are typically performed under local anesthetic, making treatment quick, easy, and virtually pain-free.

Am I a Good Candidate
For a Lower Lid Lift?

A lower lid lift may be worth considering if you feel you look tired because of under-eye ‘bags’, excess skin, wrinkles, dark circles, or ‘tear troughs’. Ideally, you should be an otherwise healthy adult who is a non-smoker to get the most out of your lower blepharoplasty procedure. Lower lid lift surgery is long-lasting with lifelong results.

In some instances, Dr. Karolak may suggest pairing your lower lid lift with other procedures such as an upper lid lift or brow lift to achieve the results you want. Dr. Karolak will speak with you about all of your options in-depth at the time of your initial consultation.

What Results Will I See?*

Many patients see instant rejuvenation after their lower lid lift. However, some post-surgical swelling and bruising may mask the final outcome of your procedure for about a week. You’ll see gradual and progressive improvement over the course of 1-3 months following your lower blepharoplasty. You can expect a happier, healthier, well-rested appearance after the procedure. Under-eye surgery is generally a one-time procedure for most patients.

Dr. Karolak is an artist, there is no doubt. It is clear that he holds himself to a very high standard of practice and results. Aside from these important qualities, he is also compassionate, warm, and exceedingly supportive before, during, and after your procedure.

I will never hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Just wonderful.*

What is the Recovery Like?*

Recovery from lower lid lift surgery is fairly straightforward. Your procedure is done under local anesthetic, meaning you won’t have the groggy, ‘comedown’ effects associated with more invasive procedures that require general anesthesia. You’ll need to sleep with your head elevated for a few days and ice the treatment area as directed.

Dr. Karolak creates a custom post-surgical recovery plan for every patient according to their individual needs. In most cases, patients feel comfortable returning to their normal routine including social engagements in 1-2 weeks.
