#1: When Can I Go Home After A Neck Lift?

Neck lift procedures are with Dr. Karolak are done on an outpatient basis allowing you to go home the same day. Because you will not be undergoing general anesthesia, recovery can be quicker than having to come down from the effects of general anesthesia. You’ll need someone to stay with you for up to 24-48 hours post-procedure and bring you back to the office the next day for a follow up visit with Dr. Karolak. You should spend the first few days at home resting and recovering with short walks around the house every several hours.

#2: How Soon Can I Get Back to Work?

The amount of time you’ll need to take off work depends on how strenuous your job is. Typically, patients that are returning to non-strenuous work feel comfortable doing so in about 1-2 weeks. Heavy lifting will be restricted, which may require a limited schedule for the first several weeks after returning to work. Dr. Karolak can advise you on the best course to take according to your custom procedure.

#3: When Can I Start Exercising?

In most cases, Dr. Karolak will suggest holding off on exercises that promote additional blood flow to the treatment area for at least 2-weeks. After that, you can slowly start to incorporate your regular routine into your day-to-day life as you feel comfortable. But remember, pushing yourself too hard too soon can prolong the healing process and potentially increase scarring.

#4: How Long is Full Recovery?

Full recovery from neck lift procedures is around 4-6 weeks. However, some patients may experience residual tightness for several months following their surgery. Scars will gradually fade over the course of six months to a year with the help of a scar management plan provided by Dr. Karolak.

During your in-person consultation, Dr. Karolak will speak with you about your individual concerns and goals before customizing a treatment plan accordingly. Afterward, he’ll provide you with in-depth information about what you can expect before, during, and after surgery.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr Karolak and I have to say that he is amazing. Not only is he talented in what he does, he actually cares about his patients and is very responsive no matter what time of the day it is. I absolutely trust him 100%. When you walk into the appointment he makes you feel like he’s known you your whole life, like family or a long time friend.
